Catherine Parker Art Programs presents..
SKETCHBOOK INDIATemple + Village Tour Odisha (East India)

It is with great pleasure that Catherine Parker Art Tours, welcome you to this new Sketchbook Art Program involving daily painting, drawing as well as mixed media workshops and visits to traditional artisans – Professional development available for Art Educators: approx 32 hours

Odisha (Orissa) is a beautiful, culturally diverse state on the East coast of India with numerous Adivasis ( 62 indigenous tribes) groups, some of which are still living in relative isolation.  The traditional weaving and body adornment  of the various Adivasis are a work of beauty, deeply embedded in nature.

This tour combines visits to small villages in the mountainous region of Koraput, as well as the world heritage listed 13thc Konark Sun Temple and the very humble and sacred  Tantric Yogini temple dedicated to the mother Goddess.

In collaboration with my friend and specialist guide, this is an opportunity to experience  the state of Odisha known as the ‘‘soul of India’’
